[he looks over at his practically-already-asleep companion. he enjoyed their time together immensely, which is... not really that usual for rei. sex is a means to an end for him, which is why this resort suits his needs just fine. it's clearly not the case for linhardt, but rei finds he doesn't really mind. his company is and was so incredibly enjoyable, that rei is actually looking forward to the next time they can meet.
it's been quite some time since he last had someone he could research with. that guy turned out to be crazy, but linhardt is proving to be otherwise. which is awesome, because sometimes you just want to bounce theories off of someone else who knows what you're talking about.
he writes the last of his notes on their encounter before climbing out of bed with a biiiig stretch. linhardt was his last... "appointment" so to speak for the day, so he doesn't have to kick him out. he'll just let the guy sleep. he at least grabs some tissues off the nightstand to clean linhardt up for him - which, again, is not a usual service rei provides, but... he figured he'd pay him back for the good time and even better conversation.
he brushes back some hair from linhardt's face, presses his lips to his temple.] They'll be ready whenever you wake up.
[and now - he believes he has a copious amount of notes to read thanks to his new acquaintance. he pulls his robe back on and settles down at the table with the notes and plenty of fruit to keep himself fed for the rest of the night. whenever linhardt wakes up, rei will be there, asleep on folded arms, a half-eaten apple and a copy of his transcribed notes next to him.]

Instead, he turns over on his side, curling into a fetal position for a moment before throwing one leg to the side, sticking one bare foot out under the sheets to regulate his temperature. He's happy to sleep for hours, and whether Rei is there when Linhardt wakes up is of no concern to him. He's comfortable, warm, and resting. He is, for the moment, happy. ]
