I'd say it's the most accurate when it comes to sensing essence, at least for Klein natives. 100% accuracy for fluid from one man, and I'd estimate about 75% for fluid from two. Taste is the second most accurate, followed by smell. But essence scent can be easily masked, if that tells you anything about the accuracy of smell as a gauge for essence.

I have never not been able to read these properties unless someone is deliberating withholding their essence from me - or, as said earlier, I'm fucking multiple people.

We're not going to learn anything from him purposefully or directly. We can still draw conclusions from his actions. I do agree that his words are going to be useless - I believe, upon thinking about it, that what I find most vexing is that he is one of those people who knows things and thinks that keeping said knowledge to himself makes him special.
